Call for Shared Tasks

The 8th Swiss Text Analytics Conference (SwissText) will take place on June 12-14, 2023 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, hosted by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO // HE-Arc). Apart from the main conference, which consists of two tracks (see Call for contributions here), the conference will feature workshops and a series of shared tasks.

We invite researchers to submit proposals for shared tasks involving English, French, German, Italian, Romansh, and Swiss German. Please keep in mind that the dataset used for your shared task should be shareable between all participants. As a shared task organiser you will be expected to coordinate the joint effort of all the interested participants.

If you wish, you can represent your shared task in the proceedings of SwissText 2023 by submitting task description and system description papers. Please note that you will be responsible for organising the submission and review process for your shared task and will be expected to provide the camera-ready papers to the SwissText organising committee by July 6, 2023.

If you are interested in organising a shared task, please get in touch with Jonathan Guerne (sharedtasks@swisstext.org) before the 15th of January 2023. Please include:

      • Short section about the motivation and goals
      • Tentative outline
      • Short CV of the instructor
